Editing Pages
Click ‘Edit Website Content’> Click ‘Edit’ beside the page you wish to edit.

Most of the pre-made content pages are directly editable by our clients. Simply click the edit button next to the page you wish to alter and a RTE (Rich Text Editor) screen will come up with the contents of that page. You are able to add pictures (in .jpg format) or alter the original text in any way that suits your needs. Beneath the RTE you will see 3 mode options: 'Normal' mode, 'HTML' mode, and 'Preview' mode. The 'Normal' mode is the one that displays all of the editing options and icons and is the one that (when using Internet Explorer) is set as the default view when visit your page to edit it. The 'HTML' mode is the one that contains HTML code and is used to add code to your page (such as widgets, analytics, etc.). To add code to your page, you would place your cursor (click your mouse) where you would like to place this information while in 'Normal' mode. Once your cursor is positioned, click on 'HTML' mode. From here all you have to do is copy and paste the code where your cursor is. The 'Preview' mode is used to view your page before making it live on your site. There are just a few pages that are not directly editable using the RTE - there will be no ‘Edit’ button next to them.

Adding Pages/Buttons

You can create your own web pages with the Custom Page feature. These pages can be used to create any type of page that needs to be added to the site. The RTE (Rich Text Editor) has controls to insert pictures, text, flash, pdf files, word documents, and sound files. Tables can easily be inserted on the webpage to help format the content of the page. Anything inserted on a custom page will appear directly with in your template design on your public site.

When you create your page you can name the navigation button that will appear, along with a page title for a professional appearance. The page title also will help optimize your newly created webpage for the keywords that your newly created page is about.

You can also create custom buttons that appear in your site's navigation menu as well. These buttons can represent links to another site, which would not open the information within your template. You can give these buttons custom titles just as with the custom pages option.

Using Tables
(From the RTE - Rich Text Editor)

Ever wonder how to get better control over the alignment of your text and images? Tables are the solution! Tables let you do things such as form columns with your text, or place pictures side by side. The rich text editor menu bar has a single button you can use to start a table, as noted here:

Once you click on the Table button you'll be presented with a pop up box asking for some variable options, such as the number of rows and columns that should be in the table. If this is your first time learning about tables, go ahead and experiment now by making a table on a page you're not worried about breaking. Select 2 rows and 2 columns, and leave the other options as they are. Once you've accepted the table you'll see it show up on your page, and you can then enter text into the four table cells that have been created. Each table cell functions just like the rest of the page, and you can align text as you wish inside of them using the alignment buttons (noted above), insert a picture, color the text, or whatever you wish.

If you feel comfortable with tables after experimenting with one, the next step is to try something more complex. Start a new table and this time set the border size to zero. This will result in a table that has no visible border between table cells. When you see most websites and see they've managed to line up pictures and text, this is one of the main ways it is achieved - there are actually tables holding the data side by side in this manner. Go ahead and fill in some data into your table cells and then view your page live. You know the table is there holding the data, but anyone else just thinks you'll have done a wonderful job of formatting. And that is the nature of tables.

The files tab is used for uploading various files that you want to display through your public website. The following file types are supported by our application –

.bmp,.rtf,.doc,.gif,.jpg,.jpeg,.htm,.html,.css,.mid,.midi,.mov,.mp3,
.mpg,.mpeg,.pdf,.ppt,.swf,.txt,.wav,.xls,.zip,.png,.asf,.avi,.mpeg3
To upload a file to your website click the ‘files’ tab in the control panel. Click the ‘Upload File’ Button. Click ‘browse’ and select the files from your computer that you will be uploading to your website. Please make sure that there are no spaces in the file name - underscores ('_') are a good alternative to spaces. Click the ‘upload files’ button to upload the file to your file manager. This process actually assigns a URL to the file that you uploaded. To get the URL for linking purposes, click the Icon beside the file, and the file will open up in a browser window. The URL in this window can be copied and actually linked to from the different pages of your website. Please keep in mind by doing this you are making the document accessible by anyone with access to the web, it is not recommended to place any private or confidential information on any website.
